How does Sculptra differ from filler?
With hyaluronic acid filler, the injected amount itself holds the volume at that spot; with Sculptra, PLLA prompts the body to build collagen. Volume arrives by a different route, which is also why the injection that dissolves hyaluronic acid does not carry over to Sculptra.
When does it start to change and how long does it last?
Because PLLA has to coax collagen into forming, we do not judge by how things look straight after. When the shift begins and how long it runs varies by person, and the doctor explains that at your visit.
Does the treatment hurt?
What people feel can differ from person to person. If pain worries you, say so in the consultation.
