Depth and modes

A lifting device that gathers ultrasound into a point and leaves small thermal coagulation spots at a set layer beneath the skin. The manufacturer lists 1.5, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.5mm cartridges with standard (Dot) and MP modes.

How do the two devices differ?

Ultherapy PRIME is a medical device that puts an ultrasound imaging function and an ultrasound treatment function in one unit. Shurink Universe is a lifting device that uses gathered ultrasound to make fine thermal coagulation points at a chosen layer in the skin, with cartridges by depth and a choice of Dot or MP mode.

Which one lasts longer?

How long it holds varies with the area treated, the range covered and the state of your skin. Since this differs by person, we cannot line the two devices up against each other. Tell us at your consultation what change you are hoping for and which dates matter.

Can I have both?

What to combine, in what order and with what gap is settled at your visit, once your skin has been checked. If you have had anything done lately, mention it when we talk.

Is there anything I must mention beforehand?

Please tell us about a history of thyroid disease, implanted medical devices such as a pacemaker, recent fillers or thread lifting, medicines you take, skin wounds or inflammation, and pregnancy or breastfeeding. Both devices have their own contraindications and cautions, and whether they apply to you is confirmed by the medical team at the clinic.
