Pores, inner dryness:
how to sort options
Skin is not the name of one treatment. Some treatments send heat and light through a device, others put ingredients in by injection. Before comparing names, we sort out what you notice first.
Book a consultationSkin care here covers changes that show on the surface and in the dermis: enlarged pores, inner dryness, pigment and marks, and depressed scars. Sagging that drops the face line is looked at separately under Lifting. At STON Myeongdong the treatments we guide you through are Potenza and Pico Toning, which work with devices; Skin Botox, placed in small amounts in the shallow layer of the skin; Juvelook, Re2o / CellREDM, Revive and Rejuran HB, which put ingredients in directly; and Scar treatment for depressed scars. How to choose among the injected treatments is set out on the Skin booster page. Which one goes where, and over what area, is decided in consultation by the medical staff.

Devices and injections share one menu
Potenza is a medical device that delivers radiofrequency through fine needles, and Pico Toning is a laser that breaks light into picosecond pulses. Skin Botox is an injection that places botulinum toxin in small amounts in the shallow layer of the skin, while Juvelook, Re2o / CellREDM, Revive and Rejuran HB put ingredients into the skin directly. The first split is whether what is delivered is energy or an ingredient.
Injected treatments come from different families
Juvelook uses PDLLA, Re2o and CellREDM use acellular dermal matrix, Revive uses hyaluronic acid and glycerol, and Rejuran HB uses an ingredient that supports skin regeneration. Each family looks at a different point, so product names alone are hard to compare. The lines that divide the families are gathered on the Skin booster page.
Scars start with telling them apart
Scar treatment deals with depressed scars left where the dermis has thinned. It starts by sorting out which kind of scar it is.
One concern can have two routes
Even with pores alone, there is a device route and an injection route. We check how thick your skin is and where it stands now to judge which suits, and if the treatment you came in for does not suit your skin as it is, we say so.

Before your consultation
What is included in skin treatments?
Potenza and Pico Toning, which work with devices; Skin Botox, placed in small amounts in the shallow layer of the skin; Juvelook, Re2o / CellREDM, Revive and Rejuran HB, which put ingredients in directly; and Scar treatment for depressed scars. How to choose among the injected treatments is set out on the Skin booster page.
How long does it take, and how long does it last?
It depends on the treatment, the area and how widely it is applied, and it differs from person to person. We go over it in consultation.
Does it hurt?
Whether the work runs on needles, heat or light, and which area it covers, changes the sensation, and people differ too. If pain is on your mind, bring it up when we talk. The doctor goes over anesthesia at your visit.
Is there anything I should tell you before the consultation?
Let us know in advance about skin treatments you have had and when, any inflammation or breakouts going on, medicines and supplements you take, allergy history, skin inflammation or immune related conditions, and whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Whether these apply is checked in consultation by the medical staff.
